It is not advisable to go there after heavy rains because the path crosses several times the path of a stream that you will have to cross from time to time.

A nice family hike in the shade which offers magnificent panoramas on the surrounding cliffs. You will discover the cave of the hermitage dating from the Neolithic period and the Romanesque chapel of Notre-Dame de Laval dating from the 12th century.

From the parking of the market place in Collias, cross the bridge of Collias and pass the Maison du Castor.
Turn left at the signpost "Le Grand Devois" and follow the yellow markings. Then, during approximately 600m, you will follow the Gardon on the right bank to arrive at the signpost "le Cantadu".
Take the left path (stone cross) towards the Hermitage for 1,7km.
You will arrive on the site of the cave of the hermitage and the Romanesque chapel Notre-Dame de Laval.*.
Then take the track on the right towards Collias and "Contadu" for 2km. Then continue on the main path following the yellow markings.
You will find the path taken at the beginning of the hike.

* Possibility of a variant by the big loop (12.2km / 4h15)
At the sign "Grand serre" turn left and follow the path for 3.1km (yellow markings).

At the signpost "Caunèze" take the path on the left and follow the path for 1.9km.

Continue straight ahead. At the signpost "la Torte" go straight on for 3.8km to reach the village of Collias.
