Discover the work of Japanese artist Yasuhiro Chida at the Pont du Gard. A multi-faceted exhibition, inviting visitors to immerse themselves into spaces transformed by the use of light.
In response to an invitation from the Pont du Gard, L’Échangeur 22 arts association and the Gard Department regional authorities, the Japanese artist Yasuhiro Chida has created a multi-faceted exhibition running from 21 April to 1 October 2023, inviting visitors to immerse themselves into spaces transformed by the use of light.
“LIGHT AS SPACE”, WHEN TRANSPARENCY MEETS PHYSICALITY
The exhibition together with its various installations provides an intense experience where you feel as if you’re plunging deep within an immersive device with is a magical play of light on the spaces.
Using simple technical elements, the artist has created works that are poetic, aesthetic and impressive in size.
The lack of reference points submerges the visitor within the works, resulting in a strong sense of contemplation and playfulness as they surrender willingly to the sensation.
A UNIQUE ARTISTIC AND SENSORY EXPLORATION
A unique artistic and sensory exploration for a live, immersive experience to share with family or friends. The exhibition guides you through a number of creations with enigmatic names, inviting you to delve into the heart of a lighting device: ANALEMMA – AFTEREAL – SPECTRUM – MYRKVIOR – MOVING SILENCE…
