In October
At Uzès

Uzès is going back to Medieval times for a weekend for the Médiévales d’Uzès event. Every year, the Dynamiques association organises this major event that showcases troubadours, tambourins and knights in armour. There is a wide range of shows and events going on over the weekend and through the whole town.

Uzès is transformed for the Medieval celebrations.

Hear ye, hear ye, put on your costumes and come and explore the town which has been transformed into a traditional Medieval village. There is an action-packed programme of events including knights and falconry, horse riders and troubadours.

Explore the replica of a medieval village in the historic town centre, watch demonstrations of knights’ battles and tournaments, try your hand at axe-throwing, take part in weaving and calligraphy workshops, work with leather and find out all about the mesh worn by the knights. There is so much going on for this event: presentation of a display of weapons and armour, see what life was like on the mercenary or Viking camps, discover the clothes worn by nomadic peoples, meet the falconers and their birds of prey, go on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town or on a ‘Through the Middle Ages’ guided tour.

The traditional medieval & arts and crafts market will also be there with something for people of all ages. Food lovers will be delighted with the delicious medieval banquet. And the children also have their very own entertainment.

Uzès invites you to come and visit the town at the end of October, and embrace life in Medieval times.
