Are you looking for outdoor activities in the surrounding area of the Pont du Gard?

Other than admiring the beauty of the monument itself, you will also find yourself at the heart of a wonderful natural environment, with so many activities on offer.

Walk along a 3.5-km footpath to discover the remains of the aqueduct and some superb viewpoints. Otherwise, you could choose the 1.4-km “Mémoires de Garrigue” trail, to explore the Mediterranean landscapes and learn about the human activities that have shaped this land for the past 2,000 years.

You could also go for a bike ride around the Pont du Gard, or even hire a canoe or kayak for a trip down the Gardon, from Collias.

In the summer, “Take to the waters”! There are lifeguards on duty at the Gardon river in July and August. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a refreshing experience as a family or with friends, with a fantastic view of the Pont du Gard. There is a special children’s swimming area here too.
