A fully scenographic tour allows visitors to better understand the world of the mine. Realistic mannequins, a horse at work, a rare Deutz locomotive, everything has been planned to ensure total immersion!

An authentic mining work of art, unique in France, this exceptional testimony to the history of mining in the Cévennes region is a former training center, which has trained generations of miners. Today a place of social and industrial memory, the Mine Témoin d'Alès offers a discovery or rediscovery of the mine, its men and its history.

Guided tours
The traditional visit - Go down, see, understand.
At the foot of the metal headframe, visitors see the "cage" open and are invited to descend into the impressive world of the "black faces".
With commentary from beginning to end, the tour of the galleries bears witness to a century of mining, industrial and social activity, during which the miners exploited coal in a difficult and dangerous environment.

A real approach to the world of mining that immerses visitors in the daily life of miners in the past.
Guided tours in English - To complete its offer but also to allow foreign tourists to discover the mining heritage of the Cevennes, the Mine Témoin d'Alès will offer, in July and August, guided tours in English, every Friday at 1pm.
Visits in English but also in German are possible throughout the year upon reservation.

Animations
Throughout the year, the Mine Témoin d'Alès offers various activities that invite young and old to discover the world of the mine.
