The Uzès Wine Fair has been showcasing wine production from the Gard since 2001. At the Esplanade, you’ll find around sixty selected winegrowers, combined with the ‘fougasse’ bread from the bakers of Uzès. An action-packed programme of events.
A gourmet discovery on the cards
Come to the Esplanade for the traditional Uzès Wine Fair, organised by the Farming Promotion Committee for the past 50 years now. Every year, the Uzès Wine Fair attracts a great number of visitors.
It is a very popular event with around sixty exhibitors and a wide variety of appellations including the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Duché d’Uzès, Châteauneuf du Pape, Tavel, Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Côteaux du Languedoc, Costières de Nîmes and the very latest arrival, Pic Saint-Loup. Alongside them are the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) wines, including Pays d’Oc, Cévennes and Côteau du Pont du Gard, among others on display during the event.
This showcase of regional wines brings a touch of colour to the area and is an opportunity for visitors to taste some exceptional vintage wines, and get some expert advice from the winegrowers themselves.
Over the weekend, there will be a wide range of events and activities in a pleasant atmosphere, including commented tasting sessions, evening events, auctions and of course the various stands held by the winegrowers and bakers of Uzès. They are ready to welcome you with a smile and give you their expert advice.
See you in August 2023!
