On foot: to the heart of the gorges

If you are a fan of hiking and are not afraid to take on a few kilometres, we recommend the walk “Au cœur des Gorges du Gardon” (To the heart of the Gardon Gorges). This 12-kilometre walk will take you into the superb Gardon Gorges. You’ll be exploring some of the typical views of our beautiful region, along the banks of the Gardon.

By bicycle: The pont du gard greenway

Enjoy the atmosphere of the South of France, riding along the Pont du Gard greenway. The former railway tracks were transformed into a safe cycle path, ideal for the whole family, across various landscapes and through the “Magic Tunnel”.
Cycle along this 31-km route from Uzès to Beaucaire, via the Pont du Gard at your own pace, and discover the treasures of local heritage, local specialities and some superb views along the way.

Mountain biking: saint-quentin-la-poterie – La Madone

From Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, this short mountain biking trail will take you on a discovery of a part of this internationally renowned potter’s village. The trail then leads through the scrubland and across some of our destination’s typical landscapes.

Canoeing: Collias – Pont du Gard

Follow signs for Collias, that is where you’ll find all the canoe and kayak departures for a trip down the river Gardon. When it’s time to set off, get ready for an extraodinary experience. Of course, if you choose to go canoeing here, it must be because you want to admire this treasure of Antiquity: the Pont du Gard… seen from underneath!

There are so many long horse-riding trails here, that are well-known across France.
This average level “Southern Loop” is 28 km long and will take you on an exploration of our landscapes at your own pace. You’ll pass through the towns of Arpaillargues, Bourdic, Abussargues, Serviers and Labaume, Montaren and Saint-Médiers.
